The Shape We're In

Sacred are the voiceless

Holy are the weak

The hand of heaven holding up a fist down in the streets

The burden of the broken holds a surging song

Let the powerful kneel

Tell the people they were wrong

And hold my hand my brother

Won’t you fill up your lungs

Can you hear that sacred singing

Let that holy kingdom come

And holy god can you hear us

Lord we are in need

Yes I heard my neighbor crying Oh I can’t breathe

Yes I heard the holy shouting Lord I can’t breathe

Sacred are the voiceless

Holy are the weak

The hand of heaven holding up a fist down in the streets

The burden of the broken holds a surging song

Let the powerful kneel

Tell the people they were wrong

And I won’t be still to hear the whisper

No I’ve heard that thunderous call

On the long road to redemption oh how the faithful fall

And holy god can you hear us

Lord we are in need

Yes I heard my neighbor crying Oh I can’t breathe

Yes I heard the holy shouting Lord I can’t breathe

And from those fiery hymns of the burning tree

Like a blind man at the altar who cries what have you done to me

If there’s eyes up in heaven

Let them weep for the sin

Do you hear the people lord

Oh look at the shape we’re in

And holy god can you hear us

Lord we are in need

Yes I heard my neighbor crying Oh I can’t breathe

Yes I heard the holy shouting Lord I can’t breathe
